This branding project is for ‘Barrrk’, a brand dealing in functional products for pet dogs including its core product ‘flushable poop bags’. We carried out the entire brand design process for Barrrk including designing the brand’s concept, identity, graphic, character, package and content.

Barrrk’s logo is a wordmark highlighting the meaning of ‘a dog barking’. The logotype with rhythmic triple ‘r’ is intended to interest customers. Also, we developed the ‘buttons’ with puppy characters to symbolize Barrrk and add to the cute image of the brand.
Barrrk’s character ‘Danchu’ amiably deliver the functionality and strengths of its products. Also, the images of various behaviors emblazoned on the ‘Danchu’ increase positive feelings toward ‘pooping’ and thereby Barrrk’s products, and get dog owners to take ‘poop bags’ as a ‘household essential’.
Unlike other functional products focused on touting ‘quantitative’ information about their functionality, Barrrk’s brand design brings emotional appeals to communicate its ‘qualitative’ image, which benefits the scalability of not only a single product but also its whole range of products.
Our cute and friendly design helps shift the perception of ‘poop bags’ from gross or functional products to an essential etiquette in the culture of pet dogs. Moreover, our design highlights the happy outdoor activities with pet dogs for Barrrk to evolve into a lifestyle brand.
